UNATTENDED SIGNS AT THE POLLING PLACES

I.              PURPOSE AND SCOPE

 

The purpose of this policy is to regulate the placing of unattended signs at polling place(s) on Election Day.

 

II.           POLICY

 

A.   Currently the polling places are located at the Senior Center at 163 West Main St. and at the Groton-Dunstable Middle School North Building at 346 Main Street.

B.    Unattended signs are not allowed at the polling places

C.    Attended signs are allowed at the polling place as long as they are outside the 150-foot radius around the entrance of the polling place according to MGL Ch. 54 S65. In addition, attended signs must not obstruct vehicle or pedestrian traffic.

D. ÒAttendedÓ ÐA person is holding or standing immediately adjacent to a sign.
