BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MARCH 15, 2004

REGULAR SESSION MINUTES

Present:  Thomas D. Hartnett, Chair; George F. Dillon, Jr., Vice Chair; John L. Saball, Clerk; Peter S. Cunningham, Member; Virginia C. Wood, Member and Administrative Officer Jean E. Kitchen

 

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

 

Nashoba Valley Technical High School Appointment

Mr. Saball removed himself from the meeting.

Members present:  Virginia C. Wood, Thomas D. Hartnett, Peter S. Cunningham, Chuck McKinney, Judith Converse, Jane Allen and Acting Moderator Ray Lyons. 

 

Mr. Cunningham moved to appoint Kevin McKenzie to the Nashoba Valley Technical High School Committee for the three-year term to expire March 31, 2007.  Seconded by Ms. Allen.  Unanimous vote.

 

Appointment of Registrar of Voters

Mr. Cunningham moved to appoint Georgess McHargue as Registrar of Voter for the three-year term to expire March 31, 2007.  Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.

 

Appointment of Custodian of Town Tax Possessions

Mr. Cunningham moved to assign Christine H. Collins as Custodian of Town Tax Possessions.  Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.

 

Retention of Legal Counsel for Zoning Board of Appeals

Mr. Cunningham moved to authorize the Zoning Board of Appeals to retain the services of Attorney Mark Bobrowski for legal counsel pending any litigation relative to the Washington Green Chapter 40B application.  Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.

 

Open Special Town Meeting Warrant

Mr. Cunningham moved open the Special Town Meeting Warrant and close it Thursday, March 18, 2004 at NOON.  Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.

 

One-Day Liquor License - Jane Bouvier on May 1, 2004 - 6:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Saball moved to approve a One-Day Wine Liquor License for Jane Bouvier on Saturday, May 1, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Squannacook Sportsmen's Club, 159 West Main Street, Groton, Mass. contingent upon receipt of …liability insurance.    Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.

 

Ms. Wood moved adjourn at 8:50 p.m.  Seconded by Mr. Dillon.  Unanimous vote.
