A new Town Meeting will be scheduled, following all posting and publicity requirements. The date and place are being discussed, but have not yet been decided. We will post this information as soon as it is known. The Special Election on April 2 will happen as scheduled. Everyone is encouraged to vote, either by mail, or in person at the Town Hall this week, or on Tuesday, April 2, at the polls.
2024 Motor Vehicle Excise Bills were issued February 23 2024.

If you no longer own the vehicle you may be entitled to an Abatement, please find the Abatement Application here: HERE
All Abatement Applications can be emailed to: assessors@grotonma.gov
Make sure to include a completed application along with all required requested documents.

Assessor's Office Hours: Monday: 8:00AM to 7:00PM Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00AM to 4:00PM Friday: 8:00AM to 1:00PM.
The exemptions available are Disabled Veterans, Elderly, Blind, Surviving Spouse, CPA and Senior Deferral.
Applications are due to the Assessors office by April 1st.
