Description:
A single representative and an alternate (recommended by the Planning Board) are appointed to represent the Town of Groton on this regional committee.

The Montachusett Regional Planning Commission was formed in 1968 to review planning issues of the region, including regional projects, A95's (review of developments of regional impact) and Impact reports. This advisory body consists of representatives of member communities who make policy and priority decisions about growth in the district, transportation and economic development. They also hire a professional staff to provide technical assistance to member communities and carry out comprehensive regional planning.
